It is a week since we left and this is the first entry!
The trip across was long because of the seven hour wait at Changi Airport although this was made bearable by the use of the pay as you go Airport Lounge ($S 35 for five hours of comfort, grazing at the food and drink table and a shower). It is good to start the long leg a bit refreshed.
Tracey was at Heathrow to collect us at 6am......her generosity is exceptional and always she "pretends" that it is no problem to her.......she has boundless energy which is just as we'll I guess as she has such a full and busy life.
We have spent the (very cool) days with Anne and Harry and catching up with all the Henfield regulars augmented with a couple of trips to Brighton and Horsham.
Peter and Harry have had a couple of sessions in the White Hart...which is 3 minutes down the lane from this new house....to watch the football and catch up with Steven and David.
And I went out with Tracey, Sandra, Donna to the "ladies" dinner at the DibDobs as part of the celebration of David's induction.
We are to Steve and Tracey's for dinner tomorrow night.....along with 15 others....she never does anything by halves.
Wednesday we are off to Jersey for a couple of days thence to Brittany with Tony and Trish. Some of this will be new geographical territory and I am looking forward to it immensely. When we get back from there we venture down to Cornwall.
